At Desperado Daddy, every order matters — we’re a small business, and your support means the world to us. While we hope you love your purchase, here’s how returns, refunds, and shipping work.

Return Window
Returns must be initiated within 5 days of delivery. After this period, we cannot accept returns. Items must be in original, unused condition with all tags attached. We reserve the right to decline returns for items showing wear, damage, or alterations.

Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, and we recommend using a trackable shipping service to ensure your return is safely delivered. Returns should be sent to: Desperado Daddy, PO BOX 94, Old Fort, NC 28762.

Vintage Item Sales – Final Sale Policy
All vintage items are sold as-is and are final sale. Due to the one-of-a-kind and pre-owned nature of vintage goods, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on vintage items. Please review all product descriptions and photos carefully before purchasing.

Return to Sender Policy

If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, a failed delivery attempt, or an unclaimed package, we are not responsible for the cost of reshipping or for issuing a refund.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information at checkout. If a package is returned to the sender, we cannot issue a refund, but we can reship the order to the correct address once the customer has paid the additional shipping cost.

No refunds will be given for orders returned to the sender for reasons outside of our control.

Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds will be issued within 5–7 business days to the original payment method. Shipping costs (including those covered by promo codes or free shipping offers) will be deducted from any refund. Refunds are issued only if items meet our policy requirements.

Exchanges
Exchanges are available if your order has not yet shipped (no tracking number issued). All vintage items are final sale and cannot be exchanged

Processing & Deadlines
All orders are made to order and may require up to 5 business days for processing, though most are completed sooner. Orders require at least 2 business days for processing. If you need your order by a specific date, please add a note at checkout and select Priority Mail (paid shipping). Promo codes apply to ground shipping only — do not use them if faster shipping is required. We do not offer refunds for late arrivals out of our control, so please plan accordingly.

Shipping Address
Please ensure your shipping address is correct at the time of purchase. We are not responsible for orders sent to the wrong address. Once an order has been fulfilled and a tracking number issued, we cannot change the shipping address.

International Taxes & Duties

All international orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost.

Desperado Daddy is not responsible for covering these fees. Any applicable duties, taxes, or customs charges are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid upon delivery.

No refunds will be made for non-delivery due to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees

Tips for a Smooth Return
Keep the original packaging until your return is complete, and track your return to ensure it arrives safely.

Canadian Orders — Duties & Import Fees

Orders shipping to Canada may be subject to import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees charged by the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) or the delivery carrier.
These fees are not included in your purchase price or shipping cost.

The recipient is responsible for paying all applicable import charges upon delivery.
Packages cannot be released until these fees are paid.

If duties/taxes are refused or unpaid:

  • The shipment may be returned to us or disposed of by customs

  • Return shipping + carrier fees may be deducted from your refund

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

  • Refunds are only issued once the item is returned to us in original condition

  • Canadian duties/taxes may be charged upon delivery and must be paid to receive your order.

We unfortunately cannot control, predict, or waive Canadian import charges.

For estimated duties, please contact CBSA or your local carrier before ordering.

Holiday Return Policy (December 1 – January 1)

To help keep our small, one-man operation running smoothly during the holiday rush, please note the following:

All purchases made between December 1 and January 1 of every year are final sale and not eligible for returns or exchanges.

Our hats are made in limited quantities and often feature novelty or joke-based designs. Historically, these items are difficult to resell once worn or used for a specific moment, which is why we cannot accept returns during this period.

We encourage you to review product descriptions carefully before purchasing, and feel free to reach out with any questions—we’re always happy to help you pick the right hat before it ships.
